Senior Applications Engineer
JOB DUTIES: Provide advice and help clients evaluate use of SL's flagship product. Develop POC's with SL products based on client requirements. Develop and implement complete enterprise monitoring solutions at client site, integrating SL components with in-house systems. Confer with engineering teams to analyze project requirements and to define interfaces to database servers, application servers, and middleware layer. Resolve client technical product issues through phone, email and webex. Prepare technical responses to RFP's and RFI's in pre-sales situations. Conduct debugging tests to determine if reported problems are in SL product or in client's use. Prepare reproducible bug tests to illustrate problems and verify correction. Develop product requirements for enhancing existing SL products and design flows. Provide inputs for the design of new features in SL products. Manage training materials and deliver multi-day seminars for clients. Support lead generation and marketing programs by delivering product demonstrations. Heavy travel required. Travel involves visiting customer sites by car/plane for 1-4 weeks every 2 months. This includes both domestic and overseas locations (outside US).
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BS CS/IT or related field.
